RIGHT NOW would be a very good time to stand up and publicly declare your opposition to the international plan to share the “benefits” derived from “pathogens with pandemic potential.”
The simple and undeniable fact that the plans do NOT ban gain-of-function research is more than enough reason to oppose them. The possibility that these agreements could actually facilitate, fund and support gain-of-function research is absolutely unacceptable.
The United Nations General Assembly is scheduled to adopt a Political Declaration of the United Nations General Assembly High-level Meeting on Pandemic Prevention, Preparedness and Response on September 20, 2023.

Is this treaty amendment scheduled for May 2023, the most urgent threat to our democracy?
The World Economic Forum and World Health Organisation (WHO) are already forecasting and preparing for the next “pandemic” and the WHO is proposing global adoption of a ‘Pandemic Treaty’, or ‘Pandemic Accord’. The unelected Director General of the WHO, Tedros Ghebreyesus, has been recently claiming that this new treaty will not affect individual countries’ sovereignty. However, what you are not being told is that in conjunction with the Pandemic Accord, amendments to the International Health Regulations (2005) would cede unprecedented authority to the WHO and raise serious questions with regards to state sovereignty.
Amendments to the International Health Regulations can be adopted and therefore mandated in the UK by simple majority vote in the World Health Assembly, the governing body of the WHO, without subsequent national ratification procedures. This means that as things stand, these changes can sail through without parliamentary scrutiny and without you, the public, being informed.

THE TOP TEN REASONS TO OPPOSE THE AMENDMENTS
TO THE INTERNATIONAL HEALTH REGULATIONS
- CHANGE FROM ADVISORY TO MANDATORY: Change the overall nature of the
World Health Organization from an advisory organization that merely makes
recommendations to a governing body whose proclamations would be legally-binding.
(Article 1 and Article 42) - POTENTIAL RATHER THAN ACTUAL EMERGENCIES: Greatly expand the scope
of the International Health Regulations to include scenarios that merely have a “potential
to impact public health.” (Article 2) - DISREGARD FOR DIGNITY, HUMAN RIGHTS AND FREEDOMS: Seek to remove
“respect for dignity, human rights and fundamental freedoms of people.” (Article 3) - ALLOCATION PLAN: Give the Director General of the WHO control over the means
of production through an “allocation plan for health products” to require developed states
parties to supply pandemic response products as directed. (Article 13A) - MANDATORY MEDICAL TREATMENTS: Give the WHO the authority to require
medical examinations, proof of prophylaxis, proof of vaccine and to implement contact
tracing, quarantine and TREATMENT. (Article 18) - GLOBAL HEALTH CERTIFICATES: Institute a system of global health certificates in
digital or paper format, including test certificates, vaccine certificates, prophylaxis
certificates, recovery certificates, passenger locator forms and a traveller’s health
declaration. (Articles 18, 23, 24, 27, 28, 31, 35, 36 and 44 and Annexes 6 and 8) - LOSS OF SOVEREIGNTY: Would empower the Emergency Committee to override
decisions made by sovereign nations regarding health measures and would make the
Emergency Committee’s decisions final. (Article 43) - UNSPECIFIED, POTENTIALLY ENORMOUS FINANCIAL COSTS: Redirect
unspecified billions of dollars to the Pharmaceutical Hospital Emergency Industrial
Complex with no accountability. (Article 44A) - CENSORSHIP: Greatly expand the World Health Organization’s capacity to censor
what they consider to be mis-information and dis-information. (Annex 1, page 36) - OBLIGATIONS OF DUTY TO COOPERATE: Creates an obligation to build, provide

I did not vote for the WHO or any of its officials, and the WHO could never be held to account for its decisions by the UK’s Parliament. The WHO has no democratic mandate and therefore should never acquire powers to make policy decisions that impact our lives.
For that reason alone the government must not cede to the WHO any aspect of the UK’s ability to make its own rules, determine its own policies or control its own budgets. International co-ordination and cooperation in any future pandemic scenario may benefit us all, but the WHO must never acquire powers to control or dictate.
Please instruct your negotiating team to reject fully the WHO’s power-grab in the negotiations for a new Pandemic Treaty and amendments to the International Health Regulations, and commit to giving MPs a vote on the draft treaty and amended regulations before they are finalised.
